Obituary of Darlene Elizabeth Frost
Frost, Darlene Elizabeth- It is with great sadness that the Frost family announces the passing of their sister, Darlene on September 22, 2021 at the Dartmouth General Hospital at the age of 74 with her family by her side. Darlene was the daughter of Austin & Carrie (MacDonald) Frost. Born in Lochaber Mines January 30, 1947. Darlene enjoyed family gatherings especially going out for dinners. She loved her outings with John & Sylvia. Darlene was a strong, kind person who didn’t say much but when she did everyone listened. She had many hobbies, reading, colouring, crafts and her weekly cooking lessons. Darlene and her best buddy would go for coffee and treats. She will be greatly missed by her housemates & staff. She is survived by sisters Sylvia (John) Monk, Ship Harbour, Evelyn, Halifax, sister-in-law Irene Frost and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by brothers Joseph & John (Jack) and sisters; Emma, Shirley, Victoria, Bonnie, Sigrid and Lorraine. The family would like to thank Michelle and staff for the love & care they gave Darlene and the Dartmouth General ICU staff for their amazing care and compassion to Darlene and her family. A memorial service will be held Saturday October 2, 2021 at 1:30p.m. in St. James United Church, Lochaber Mines Rev. Joan Griffin officiating. Internment to follow in the church cemetery. Hello my name is Keisha I just want to say I am sending my condolences to the frost family Darlene is definitely going to be missed never forgotten I used to take her for coffee as well down to McDonald’s and also bring her back to the house she was a very quiet person I love her a lot she was a good person to be around and I am going to miss going down to McDonald’s for coffee because that was my plan again recently but unfortunately now darling is gone and I am going to miss her dearly I thought of Darlene as a very respectful and very honest person she will always be in my heart and even though I don’t know the family but you will all be in my heart as we all sit here in grieve😞😞💖💖
