It is with deep sadness that we the family announce the passing of Daniel “Donald” Boyne Taylor on Tuesday December 28, 2021 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Birch Grove on July 12, 1937, he was the son of the late William and Margaret (MacCuish) Taylor.
Donald worked for the CBRM water commission as a heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by daughters Cathy Stockley, Whitney Pier, Eleanor (Ron) Hawco, Sydney, Donna (George) Weatherbee, Calgary and Kim(Gerald) Gill, Calgary, sons Douglas (Florence), Whitney Pier, David(Bernadette), Sydney and Ira (Nicole), Truro, grandchildren Keith, Leanne, Melissa, Kristopher, Sheena, Ashley, Crystal, Kimberlee, Jennifer, Adam, Kaylee, Bradley, Daniel, Jamie, and Dawson, great grandchildren Makayla, Dylan, Sophie, Zachary, Rylee, Charlotte, Dalton, Kaiden, Eilon, Truman, Maya, Chloe, Cameron, Elias, and Harlow. .
Donald was predeceased by his wife Catherine (Walker), sister Joyce Crawley, brothers John and Thompson and a great granddaughter Lilly.
Due to Covid restrictions a private family service will take place in Sydney Memorial Chapel. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Marion Bridge. A livestream of the funeral can be viewed Friday at 11am on the Sydney Memorial Chapel Facebook page.
