Obituary of Claire Lester
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Claire on Monday, September 27, 2021, at the age of 90. Loving wife of the late Patrick (2002), Beloved mother of Elaine (Joe) Grochot and Lorraine Miller. Cherished grandmother of Ben (Jess), Jordan (Sam) and “fur babies” Charlie and Frankie. Survived by her sisters Sylvia (the late Peter) and Pam (the late John). Predeceased by her sisters Shirleigh (the late Philip), Penny (Tony) and brother Tony (Rita). Claire will always be fondly remembered as “Nan” to family, friends, neighbours, and their families. A very special thank you to Alyssa at the Mississauga Halton LHIN, Care Partners, VON and Bayshore Pharmacy for their special care for Claire and the support provided for our family. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Service for Claire will be held in the Chapel on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 11 a.m. YOU MUST REGISTER TO ATTEND. Interment to follow at White Chapel Cemetery, 1895 Main St, West, Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hamilton Out of the Cold would be appreciated by the family.
