It is with sadness that the family of Chester Charles
MacKinnon of St. Eleanor’s announces his passing at the Prince County
Hospital on Monday, February 15, 2021. Born in Harmony on June 21,
1941, he was the eldest son of Lester and Ethel (Yeo). Beloved husband
for 53 years of Brenda (Ellis) and father of Stephen (Verna Lynne),
Cornwall; Michael (Janice), Summerside and Rodney (Lyn), Calgary.
Cherished “Poppie” to Hailey, Emma, Ryan, Katie and
Liam.
Lovingly remembered by his siblings Muriel (Roy) Newcombe,
Hiram (Betty), Sybil (Elmer) Gorrill and Wyman (Diane); Mother in law
Norma Ellis; brother-in-law Glenn (June) Ellis along with numerous
nieces and nephews and extended family.
Predeceased by his parents, father-in-law Milford Ellis,
sister Thelma Noye and brothers-in-law Murray Ellis and Dale
Ellis.
Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel, due to
Covid restrictions a private funeral service by invitation only will
be held. Interment at People’s Cemetery, Victoria West at a later
date.
Memorial donations mailed directly to the Prince County
Hospital Foundation P.O. Box 3000, 65 Roy Boates Avenue, Summerside,
PE, C1N 5B7 would be appreciated by the family.
