Cheryl Lynn TINGLEY. Age: 62

Cheryl was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia to Peter Borden Tingley (Hantsport, NS) and Rhoda Mary Ryer (Shelburne, NS). She lived in Ottawa, Ontario for her school years and returned to Halifax, NS to attend St. Mary’s University where she received her BA degree with honours in Anthropology.
Cheryl’s biggest love was reading. She worked for many years at Scotiabank in Ottawa, as well as Calgary. She spent the last many years working for DMV Nova Scotia and retired in November 2019. She spent several years looking after her parents and enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels. She also enjoyed gardening and created many gardens at her parents’ property.
Cheryl was predeceased by her mother, Rhoda, on February 9, 2020. She is survived by her father, Peter Tingley, her sister Tanya, her niece Brianna, great-niece Emily, great-nephew Tristan, as well as many aunts, uncles and many cousins.
Her death was certainly unexpected and sudden. She has left family and friends far too soon and her sweet cat Magoo, will be cared for by her family. Cheryl you will be missed by many.
