Cecilia Adelaine Thomas Prior (nee Kerr) left this world to enter an eternal heaven. At Fiddick’s Nursing Home, Petrolia on Friday, March 12th, 2021 in her 97thyear , with family at her side. Beloved wife and soul mate of the late Thomas Prior (2006) for over 60 years. Dear mother of Marie (Jerry) Ogglesby. Predeaced by her two sisters in Scotland, Nancy and Molly. Celia is fondly remembered by Barbara Ogglesby of London, Ontario. Also remembered by long time, special friends, Thor and Elaine Micheelsen of Mt.Brydges, Robert and Helen Lloyd of Glencoe, Sue MacFadden and her Husband John McEachren of Glencoe. Celia served as a soldier in WWII and was stationed in England from 1943-1946. She served in the A.T.S. division. Celia was a member for many years in the Royal Canadian Legion, Ontario Command, Ladies Auxiliary Branch 219, Glencoe and she volunteered at Four Counties Hospital. Celia had a great love of animals and enjoyed owning dogs, cats and horses throughout the years. She and her husband Thomas loved the outdoors and travelled extensively. She was also an avid walker and was able to hike the Bruce Trail out of Tobermory with Marie and Jerry in her 86thyear! Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to International Fund of Animal Welfare, Compassion Canada or charity of your choice.
