Cecile’s Obituary
After battling her second bout with cancer, passed from this life at the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday May 25, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. Cecile was 83 years of age. Loving wife of Wilfred Ghent. Cherished mother of Joanne Ghent, Denise Steeves (Jim Schluter), Diane Nuber, Gary Ghent and Danny Ghent. Forever loved grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Cecile lived in Paris for 64 years. Her working career included time at both the Whitehorse Restaurant and Penman’s. She spent the majority of her working life as a Seamstress at the Pride of Paris. Cecile had a life-long love of knitting, crocheting, sewing and reading.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the DWAYNE D. BUDGELL Funeral Home. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and subsequent restrictions on gathering, a Private Family Visitation will be held. Cremation will follow at Holy Cross Crematory. In Cecile’s memory, donations to St. James Anglican Church in Paris (stjamesparis.ca/) or the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca/)would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
