Obituary of Catherine Wiseman
Passed peacefully away on June 20, 2021, Catherine Evangeline Wiseman (nee Cameron). February 17, 1938 – June 20, 2021. Predeceased by her husband Gerald Wiseman and her grandson Nathan Higgins as well as her brothers, Alex Cameron, Thomas Cameron and Fred Cameron. Sisters Blanch Beirness and Betty Cameron. Survived by brothers, Ralph, Bill and Henry Cameron, and sister Mary Cameron. Also, a large number of nieces and nephews. Leaving to mourn, “Her Girls” Cathy Hutchings (Brian), Sharon Kilfoy (Bill) and Laura Lee Higgins (Jim). Grandchildren Chris Porter (Andrea) Katie Hutchings (Josh Farrell), Jessica Kilfoy (Gianni Costanzo ) Emily Kilfoy (Stephen Metcalfe) Holly Jones (Mike Mickle) Gillian Adams-Squires (Steve) and Great grandchildren Brendan , Nadiah , Journie , Ava and Cian. The family would like to thank Dr. Hickey for caring for mom with respect and dignity, always being available to our family when we needed her and laughing with Mom when she made silly jokes. Thanks to the staff at Admirals Coast Retirement Centre. You guys are the best. Mom was a little reserved about moving there, but soon found that she loved her new family. She was welcomed warmly by residents and staff alike. She really loved her nightly card games with the ladies. Extra special thanks to Alicia and Pam who were with us during her final day. They went above and beyond. There is no way to express how we feel. You guys are awesome!! To the “Tilly’s Road South Ladies”, you guys are awesome! Can’t thank you enough for all you did for Mom!!! Mom lived her life to the fullest and anyone fortunate enough to have met her, knew it. She lived her life on her own terms. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mom’s name to The Salvation Army CBS Corps are gratefully accepted. A private visitation is planned. Funeral service in the James J. Hickey Memorial Chapel, Kelligrews on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 12 PM by invitation only. Interment in St. Edward’s Cemetery, Kelligrews.
