It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Carol Ann MacIsaac (nee MacDonald), peacefully in the presence of her family on Monday, June 21, 2021 at the age of 83 years. Devoted wife of Arthur for 64 years and cherished Mother of Robert (Peggy), Keith (Marian) and Carolyn. Doting Grandma to Rebecca, Allie, Jordan, Tyler, Lexa and Isaac. Dearly loved sister of Charlotte, Warna (Jerry), Gloria (Charlie), Rolly(Shelly), and Ronnie. Predeceased by her mother Phyllis MacDonald, father Charles MacDonald, and sister Raylene (Joe).

Carol Ann was extremely proud of her Cape Breton heritage. She was born on July 13, 1938 in Sydney, Nova Scotia. She grew up on the island and left for Halifax with her close sister Raylene to attend school at Mount St. Vincent. She met Art, the love of her life, while skating during Easter vacation in Sydney in 1952. She returned to Sydney for her final year of school where she attended Holy Angels Convent. Art and Carol Ann’s courtship continued and in 1957 they were married and had 3 children. In 1969, the family of 5 moved from Sydney to Ottawa, Ontario. Carol Ann devoted her time to raising her family and creating a loving home. Later, she returned to the workforce and enjoyed a long-term career as a Sales Supervisor at Hudson’s Bay St. Laurent in Ottawa. In retirement, she dedicated her time to her grandchildren and children while finding time to enjoy quilting, gardening, cooking, and supporting her beloved Blue Jays. Carol Ann’s door was always open, and she will be fondly remembered for her selfless love and kindness for her family and friends.
A private family Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor) on Monday, June 28, 2021.
