CAMPBELL, Ona Fay (nee Newman) – Age 101, formerly of Brigden, but resided at Fiddick’s Nursing Home where she passed away peacefully on Friday, January 1, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Donald Campbell. Loving Mom of Doug and the late Karen Campbell, Barb and Jim Morley. Loving Grandma of Michelle (Bruce) Baker, Tracey (Mark) Sitzes, Jason (Kim) Morley, Jeff (Denise) Morley, Jeremy (Naomi) Morley. Cherished Great-Grandma of Josh, Julia and Jordan Morley, Tyson and Hayden Sitzes, Ayden and Ryden Morley, Walker and Harlin Morley. Predeceased by her parents William and Sadie Newman and brothers George, Lyle, Lee, Robert, Melvin and Dean. Survived by her sister Jean. Ona lived and worked on the farm near Brigden for most of her life, then moved to Brigden Park Place, Albany then Fiddick’s in Petrolia. Ona loved spending time with her family and celebrating all special occasions. She was an amazing baker, spoiling us with her rolls, tarts, cookies and popcorn balls. She was known to her family as a special Mom, Mother-In-Law, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Sister, Sister-In-Law, friend, Old Nanny, Fay, the Big O and Smiley. Thanks to the staff at Albany and Fiddick’s for the amazing care.
Due to provincial Covid-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held at the graveside.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Legacy Lappers or L.C.D.S.
