Obituary of Bruce Edison Higgs
Higgs, Bruce Edison
Suddenly and unexpectedly, on September 12, 2021, Bruce E. Higgs, in his 65th year, passed away in Crown Point, Ontario. Bruce is survived by his partner of 30 years, Margaret (Meg) Muirhead, his mother Kay Higgs in Regina, brother John Higgs (Larissa) in Saskatoon, sister Shelley Thiel (Gary), sister-in-law Darlene Higgs as well as many nieces and nephews. Also feeling his absence are several of Meg’s family members in Kingston, Ontario with whom he shared many adventures and where he was planning to move in the near future; John and Liz, Lindsay and Neil, Ailish and Sierra. Left behind also is a legacy of always helping others without hesitancy; a lovingly cared for garden by the Ottawa river, of which he was so proud; and a lifetime worth of corny joke material that will forever have his friends and family either rolling their eyes or slapping their thighs for years to come. A happy soul, a loving partner, a caring individual. Our lives are now forever changed by your passing. RIP, Bruce. A private remembrance for family and friends will be held at a later date. For those desiring, donations to the Arnprior Humane Society would be appreciated. www.arnpriorhumanesociety.ca/.
