Peacefully in hospital on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the age of 99. Predeceased by her husband George (deceased 1974), her parents Benjamin and Julia (nee Lambe) and her siblings Rita, Stella (Eddie Jantzen deceased), Dennis (Bibiana), Anthony (Edna) and Robert. Loving mother of Linda (Rob Burgess) and Cathy (Dan Lackey deceased 2007). Beloved grandmother of William Burgess. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Bridget was born in a small town in Newfoundland almost 100 years ago. After moving to Ottawa she worked as a teacher at St. Elizabeth’s elementary school and volunteered at the Good Companions Senior’s Centre. Special thanks goes out to the staff at the Westwood Retirement home, where Bridget has resided for the past 10 years, for their care and support.
