Obituary of Brian Everett Franklyn Paul
PAUL, Brian Everett Franklyn, age 77 of Stewiacke, passed away June 6, 2021 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro due to the many health issues he had over the past six months. Born in Dean, he was a son of the late Peter and Serena (Fisher) Paul. Brian worked in the woods and for the department of transportation paving plant for many years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and playing crib. He enjoyed going for drives and knew most roads in his area as well. He and Alma were proud to represent the Royal Canadian Legion as Provincial Cribbage Champions and competed at the National level in Montreal. He had a very special bond with granddaughter Morgan, she will miss her “Me-me” incredibly. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Alma (Wallace), children, Ian (Tara) Paul, Heather (Rob Martin); grandchildren, Morgan (Patrick Fournier), Ella; sister, Victoria Dykeman, special cousin Bonnie McCabe; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; He was predeceased by 10 siblings and good friend, Gary Chaplin. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A private graveside service will be held 2 PM Wednesday, June 9th in Hillcrest Cemetery, Upper Musquodoboit. Memorial donations may be made to the SPCA.
