Brian Hovey 2021

Brian Dean Hovey, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, July 4, 2021, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 62.
Born in St Stephen, he was the son of Willard Hovey and the late Elda (Corning) Hovey. He worked as a Vac Truck Operator and in recent years for North Shore Construction.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Shawn (Fitzpatrick) Hovey of Miramichi; daughter Cara Hovey (Toby Matchett) of Miramichi; two sons Chris Hovey of Miramichi and Matthew Hovey (Giselle) of Strathadam; two sisters Margo Burditt of Saskatchewan and Bonnie Hovey-Oxford of St Stephen; brother Steven Hovey of St Stephen; mother-in-law Yvonne Fitzpatrick of Miramichi; eight grandchildren Hailey, Seth, Ryan, Emma, Cameron, Joshua, Olivia, and Mila; many brothers and sisters in law; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his mother, he was predeceased by his father-in-law Boyd Fitzpatrick.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at 11 am, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel.
Please note; due to Covid-19 guidelines, masks and social distancing will be followed. Seating will also be limited.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or to a memorial of one’s choice.
