Obituary of Brenda Michelle Bush
Brenda Michelle Bush (nee Montgomery) March 8, 1963 – December 27, 2021 (58 yrs)
It is with great sadness that the family share the news that Brenda has passed away.
Brenda was born in Prince Albert, SK on March 8, 1963 to Marvin and Sue. She was predeceased by her parents and two sisters Lisa Montgomery and Kym Mills. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Jesse, Devan and her beloved granddaughter Nala, sister Kelli (Ed) Epema and family, sister Laura Bolten and family, brother Trevor (Katherine) Martin and family, sister Tara Martin, along with numerous uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews and cousins.

Brenda lived and worked for many years in Calgary before moving to Prince Albert and then Saskatoon. Brenda loved country music, was always up for an adventure and took much pleasure in volunteering and giving back to her community.  Brenda’s family were so important to her. She loved her boys and granddaughter and championed whatever activities they were involved in. Before she was sick she was a sports Mum to Jesse and loving Mom to Devan. Even when she was sick, she found a way to be a hockey Mom to Devan and faithful confidant to Jesse. Friends were a big part of Brenda’s life and she continued to stay in touch with many lifelong friends.

One remarkable feat Brenda pulled off in recent years was surviving ovarian cancer for the past ten years. Through the ovarian support group she made many friends and volunteered with the Walk of Life to raise awareness and to help find a cure.
Brenda’s faith in Jesus was also an important part of her life. She was involved in the Prince Albert Alliance Church and then later on when she moved to Saskatoon she got involved at Erindale Alliance Church with Bible Study Fellowship and volunteering with the library.

Brenda embodied the spirit of courage, independence and stubbornness. Over her life she never gave up and never gave in. From the years of being a single Mom to facing cancer, she fought to keep her life moving forward while providing as many opportunities for her sons as possible.  She was a wonderful and faithful mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend to the very end. Brenda did not know the meaning of giving up.  Donations can be made in her honour to Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope Saskatoon 2022.
A celebration of Life will be held at Erindale Alliance Church (310 Perehudoff Crescent, Saskatoon, SK.) on January 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. For those unable to attaend the service, the family invites you to join the service via livestream. The link to the livestream will be posted above the obituary the day of the service.
