1948-2021
Bonnie Marie Milne – age 73, of Kentville, passed
away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, in the Valley Hospice, Kentville. Born
in Windsor, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Elizabeth
“Liz” (Burton) MacFarlane. Bonnie spent over 30 years in the
insurance industry, retiring from Macdonald Chisholm Trask Insurance.
She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with the
“MacFarlane sisters”. Bonnie devoted her life to her
children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter and especially enjoyed
Christmas time. She loved gardening and took great pride in her
garden. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother
and friend. She is survived by her husband, Willis LeBlanc, Kentville;
daughter, Jill (Darryl) Plandowski, Halifax; Michael Milne (Sharon
Cochrane), Tupper Lake; Greg (Taylor) Milne, Canning; grandchildren,
Ainsley, Madison, Marshall, Oscar, Jack, Lily and Jude;
great-granddaughter, Violet; sisters, Myrna Fencer Lang, Wolfville;
Eleanor (Donald) Schmidt, Surrey, BC; Debbie (Allan) Bishop, New
Minas; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband
Lawrence “Wayne” Milne; sisters, Freda Carter and Frona
Ripley. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by
request. A private family graveside service will be held at a later
date at the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, nephew, Reverend Doctor
Scott Kindred-Barnes officiating. Donations in memory may be made to
the Valley Hospice Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been
entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
