Obituary
It is with broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister and friend on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 age 82 years.
Predeceased by her parents: Fred and Hilda Oates; sister: Clara Mugford; brothers: David and Douglas Oates and sisters-in-law: Mary and Jessie Oates.
Leaving to mourn with cherished memories her loving and devoted husband of 61 years Ralph; her two boys whom she adored: Todd (Yvonne) and Scott (Jaime Hoye); brothers: Jack (Geraldine), Winston, Walter (Jean), Nelson (Linda) and Noel (Lois Ann); brothers-in-law: Ernie Mugford and Paul Parsons; sisters-in-law: Dorothy (Eric – deceased) and Francis (Albert – deceased) Parsons and Sylvia (Russell) Pelley; special friend Kim Heffernan, extended family and friends.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of the Health Science Centre 4 South A for their compassion and care.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave., on Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 2:00 -4:00 pm and 6:00 -9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021 from Barrett’s Mt. Pearl Chapel at 2:00 pm.
interment to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
