It is with great sadness; we announce the passing of Bernard Stephen Donovan in his 88th year. Residing at the Golden Heights Manor, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend.
Bernard was born in Melrose in 1933 to parents Martha Alywood and Michael Donovan. Predeceased by his father Michael Donovan, his mother Martha Alywood, his brother Anthony Donovan, stepbrothers Jim Donovan, Patrick Donovan, Mark Lane and George Donovan, stepsister Rita Donovan.
Bernard enjoyed playing the accordion and having a Saturday afternoon sing along gatherings with a few close friends.
Left to mourn with loving memories, his wife of 59 years, Cecilia, sons Chris (Bernetta), Bernie (Darlene), daughters, Hilda (Darryl), Connie (Paul), Carolyn (Robert), and his pride and joy daughter Amanda. Grandchildren, Brittany, Colin, Kelsey, Han, Sabrina and Kendra, and great grandchildren Adelyn and Liam.
Rest easy, we love you, until we meet again.
