Lavigne, Bernadin (1940 – 2021)
La famille annonce avec regret son décès survenu à North Bay le dimanche 5 septembre, 2021 à l’âge de 81 ans. Fils de feu Léo Lavigne et de feu Maria Lavigne (née Labelle). Lui survit également son épouse de 62 ans, Rachel Lavigne (née Ethier). Cher père de Robert (Doreen), Suzanne Delorme (Ray), Michel (Carolle), Nicole Davidson (Ernie), Yvette Lavigne (Dan McPhee), Yvon (Debbie), Francine Brouillette (André) et Joanne Rondeau (Daniel). Son souvenir restera gravé dans la mémoire de ses 20 petits-enfants et 27 arrière-petits-enfants. Frère de Gérard Lavigne (Yolande), Gaston Lavigne (Cécile), Marie-Anne Poirier (Roland), Germaine Lagrandeur (Henri) et Carmen Simard (Denis). Prédécédé par son frère Alphonse.
Bernadin était un homme positif et reconnaissant. Un vendeur motivé, il avait une facilité à réparer la machinerie. Il aimait les chiens, la nature et jouer aux cartes. Il était très fier de l’entretien de sa propriété. Sa famille était de la plus grande importance pour lui, en particulier ses petits-enfants et arrière-petits-enfants. Il était un farceur et aimait faire rire les gens jusqu’à la fin de son parcours dans la vie.
La famille Lavigne remercie du fond du cœur le Dr. Labelle et son personnel. La famille tient aussi à remercier le personnel remarquable du CCAC pour les excellents soins reçus.
Sincères remerciements au personnel du Nipissing Serenity Hospice pour les soins exceptionnels qu’il a reçus vers la fin de son parcours dans la vie.

Survived by his wife of 62 years Rachel Lavigne (née Ethier). Dear father of Robert (Doreen), Suzanne Delorme (Ray), Michel (Carolle), Nicole Davidson (Ernie), Yvette Lavigne (Dan McPhee), Yvon (Debbie), Francine Brouillette (André) and Joanne Rondeau (Daniel). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Brother of Gérard Lavigne (Yolande), Gaston Lavigne (Cécile), Marie-Anne Poirier (Roland), Germaine Lagrandeur (Henri) and Carmen Simard (Denis). Predeceased by his brother Alphonse.
He was a positive and grateful man. He was a motivated salesperson and he was mechanically inclined. He loved dogs, the outdoors and playing cards. He took great pride in maintaining his property. His family meant the world to him, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids. He was a joker and loved to make people laugh until the end of his journey in life.
The Lavigne family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Labelle and staff. The family would also like to thank his remarkable care coordinators and staff from CCAC.
Sincere thank you to the staff at The Nipissing Serenity Hospice for his exceptional care at the end of his journey in life.

As per Bernadin’s wishes, Cremation arrangements in care of Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, have taken place.
