BROOKS, Barry Loy
Barry bravely left this world on his own terms on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at North Bay Regional Health Centre, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 61 years old. Barry was the beloved husband of Darlene (Hummel) of North Bay. He was the much-loved father of Traci Malkowski (Derek) and Spencer Brooks, all of North Bay, and the cherished grandfather of Briar and Baylor Brooks-Malkowski. Barry was predeceased by his parents Colleen (1930-2021) and Lyman Brooks (1921-1999), his sister Dianne (1957-1975) and his brother Tracy (1962-1969). He was the dear brother of Wayne (Dianne) of Sundridge, Vicky Clelland (Terry) of Bear Valley, Deborah Anderson (the late Billy) of Port Loring, Randy (Janet) of Powassan, Cindy Burbidge (Blair) of Utopia and Ricky (Rebecca) of Trout Creek and will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Barry was retired after a 30+ year career with the Ministry of Transportation in North Bay. Barry loved Port Loring, the outdoors, and the cottage on the island where he was married and spent every minute he could. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Barry’s life will be announced at a later date.
