Barbara Polano DeStefano Wednesday September 22nd 2021

In Loving Memory of Barbara Polano (DeStefano)
Beloved wife of Joseph “Bepi” Polano (predeceased), passed away peacefully on September 22nd at Maison McCulloch Hospice surrounded by numerous friends and family members.
Barb was born in Sudbury on January 25th, 1939 to Angelo and Bianca DeStefano (predeceased) and was a loving sister to Richard “Dick” (wife Maureen), Kathy and Ronald (predeceased, wife Vicky). Sister in law to Mary (predeceased), Rose (predeceased) (husband Robert), Benny (predeceased) (wife Mary) and Gary (Predeceased) (wife Judy).
She was a loving and supportive mother to her sons Derek and Jason (Lynn Renaud) and Grandmother to Tristan Renaud. She will also be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews, as well as the numerous neighbourhood friends of her boys, many of whom considered her a second mom.
Barb had a lifelong love of sport and was an avid tennis player and fan. She was dedicated to her faith and her church where she enjoyed singing in the choir for many years. She made so many friends through her involvement in these and other activities.
Barb will be missed by many but never forgotten.
Donations to the Maison McCulloch hospice would be greatly appreciated.
Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Hope Church, 591 Brennan, Sudbury on Thursday, September 30th, 2021 at 10:30am. Friends may gather after 10am. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
