Brunet, Aurèle Gérard (1934 – 2021)
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Monday June 14th, 2021 at the age of 86 years. Son of the late Omer and the late Desneige (née Gauthier) Brunet. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 42 years, Colette (née Bessette) (Béland) Brunet. He will be sadly missed by his wife Colette and his children Alain Brunet (Candice Charbonneau Brunet), Claire Béland (Stroud)(Dave O’Brien), Monique Labelle (née Béland)(Dan Labelle) and Jean-Guy Béland. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Ashley Stroud, Tyler Stroud (Catherine O’Connor), François Labelle (Michelle Landry), André-Michel Labelle, Amélia Brunet, and Owen Brunet. Dear brother of Armand Brunet, Noella (née Brunet) Tessier (Denis), Agnès (née Brunet) Demers (late Bert), Eva (née Brunet) Serré (Ronald), Clément Brunet, and René Brunet. Predeceased by his brothers Eugène Brunet, Albert Brunet, and Lucien Brunet. He will also be missed by his in-laws Rudy Bessette (Lizette Martel), Gerry Bessette, and Mercedèse (née Bessette) Guillemette (Normand). Aurèle was a body man by trade for many years, worked on road maintenance for MTO, then harvested corn until retirement. He was old school, loved hunting, fishing, and camping. A knowledgeable, hard working man as well as a jack of all trades, Aurèle enjoyed going to coffee to socialize with his friends. His favourite season was autumn, he loved to see the leaves change colors and to tell stories about his past life experiences. You will be missed but also remembered for everything you did. God bless your soul. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Klère Bourgault and Kathy Laurin, to the VON nurses and staff as well as the devoted staff at the West Nipissing General Hospital.
