Obituary of Audrey Elaine Floyd
Mrs. Audrey Elaine (McLaughlin) Floyd passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on September 10, 2021. She was born in Hillsborough, NB on January 28, 1935; the daughter of the late Clarence and Anne (Steeves) McLaughlin.
Audrey loved going to hear live music at the Royal Canadian Legion. She enjoyed Bingo and playing cards; especially 45’s and took great pride in organizing card games as well as luncheons at the Salt Springs Community Center for many years. Everyone enjoyed her cooking and baking especially desserts. You never left her house hungry and were guaranteed that her candy dishes were always filled.
She will live on in the hearts of her daughter, Marilyn Cormier of Saint John; her sons: Stephen Lamb (Marion) of Sus, Terry Lamb (Lori) of Hampton, Greg Lamb of Victoria, BC and Larry Lamb of Cranbrook, BC; her step daughters: Connie Hanlin (Paul) of Salt Springs, Bonnie Loughery (Tom) of Southfield, Wanda Monahan (Bob Byers) of Salt Springs, and Roxane Dorian (Jamie) of Petitcodiac; her step sons: Danny Floyd (Rita Hanlin) of Salt Springs and Darren Floyd (Kelly) of Hampton; her sister-in-law, Betty Calvin of Saint John; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Russell Floyd and by her brother, Dale McLaughlin.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus, (506-433-1176). A graveside service will be held from Salt Springs Cemetery on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 11:00am.
