Audrey Foster Moir, R.N. age 93 peacefully passed away on July 4, 2021.
She was the daughter of the late Lenley and Annie (Ring) McFadden of Clementsport, N.S.
Audrey was a resident of Dartmouth for the past 72 years. She was a graduate of the Pazant Memorial Hospital, Windsor, N.S. class of 1948. She affiliated with the Royal Victoria and Shriners hospitals in Montreal and was on the staff of Halifax Infirmary, Queen Street, Halifax.
In 1950 she married Lorne Moir and upon their retirement their interest turned to gardening which resulted in “The Moir Garden” at Sullivan’s Pond, Dartmouth.
Audrey is a life member of The First Halifax African Violet Society and Audrey was also a proud member of The Dartmouth Horticultural Society.
Surviving is her daughter Heather Moir and partner Anne Story of Millerville, Alberta and niece Carol Woodland (Lloyd) of Upper Clements, N.S.
She was pre-deceased by her husband of 65 years, Lorne Herbert Moir, her brother Donald McFadden and her precious feline fur baby Buddy.
Audrey’s dying wish is that someone will maintain and care for their precious garden at Sullivan’s Pond.
There will be no funeral by Audrey’s request. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or SPCA Dartmouth.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Dartmouth Funeral Home, Dartmouth.
