It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Arduino (Adrian) De Sousa. Arduino passed away peacefully on Friday, February 26, 2021 at the age of 88 in Toronto, Canada. Born in Pemba, Tanzania to the late Adolfo and Ofelia De Sousa, Arduino was “the pillar of the family”. He will sadly be missed by his siblings: late Olga, late Armando (Theresa), Ariosto (Coleta), and Adolf (Carmen), his 10 nieces and nephews and their children. In accordance with current restrictions, a service for immediate family will be held by invitation at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy 7 (just west of Pine Valley Dr.), Woodbridge, 905-851-9100, on Wednesday March 3rd, 2021 (viewing at 12pm, service at 1pm). Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill by invitation only. A live stream of the service is available at 1pm and can be accessed from the Book of Memories at www.wardfuneralhome.com
In accordance with the February 22, 2021 directives from the Municipality of York Region, Services can be held within the funeral home, accommodating no more individuals than 30% occupancy of our visitation rooms and/or Chapel.
Funeral services being held in a church or place of worship allow for a maximum of 30% building occupancy.
Wearing of masks or face coverings by everyone is mandatory as per the Provincial Regulations.
Respecting the current situation and pandemic restrictions, the interment (entombment) will be private.
