SAKR, Antoine “Tony”
Nov 22, 1962 – June 19, 2021
Passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband to Marcelle. Beloved father to Najla Daoud (Michael) and Joseph (Valerie). Loving and proud grandfather to Maryam and baby on the way. Brother to Randa Sakr, Rodana Abi Abdallah (George), Souad Abo Fayad (Samir) and Hoda Saliba (Kozhaya). Cherished uncle to Christian, Angelik, Marie Therese, Mario, Joey, Rody, Sandy, Charbel, Pamela, Joe, Demitry, Sasha, Johnray and Brouna. Brother-in-law to Machhour Makhoul (Asia), Elias Makhoul (Laudy), and Bahia Sassine (Raymond). Tony is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Najla.
Tony loved life. He was a father figure to all of the children and young adults around him. If you ever met him, you would immediately enjoy the connection as he was always full of life and always wearing a contagious smile that everyone loved. He loved to travel and was always sharing his experiences with friends on Facebook. He also loved the movies, always enjoying the new cinema.
Tony worked for the American Embassy in Beirut as a bodygaurd and worked at Kautex in Windsor where he had many friends. He was always involved in the community and his church volunteering to help.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital and Dr. Y. Emara Centre for their compassionate care.
Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel (South Chapel), 3048 Dougall Ave. N9E 1S4, on Tuesday, June 22, from 2-5 and 7-9. Funeral Mass to take place on Wednesday, June 23, at St. Charbel Maronite Church, 5700 Outer Dr, Windsor, ON N9A 6J3, at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Windsor Memorial Gardens, 1100 Division Rd, Windsor, ON N8W 1Z6. Reservations are required for visitation and funeral mass. Please call 519-253-7234 between 8:30 – 4 p.m. to book your appointment for the visitation and the funeral mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for family to designate or to the church.
On this Father’s Day, Tony was chosen to be with our Heavenly Father.
