Peacefully at Marianhill Residence, Pembroke on Sunday February 28, 2021 at the age of 83 years. Amos Harrington of Petawawa, beloved husband of Helen Harrington (nee Sennett). Loved and cherished father of Cecil Harrington (Donna), Jodie MacIntosh (Brett) and Wendy Durocher (Tom) all of Petawawa. Loving grandfather to Cody, Brady (Amber), Taylor (Jason), Lukas, Curtis, Meghan (Jeff) and Jennifer (Chris). Dear brother of Bernadette Gilleo (Kenny), Yvonne Deveau (late Stanley), Frank Harrington (Darlene) and Jacqueline Harrington. Predeceased by his brothers Martin Harrington (late Cecilia), Norman Harrington and his parents Lawrence and Hazel (nee Surette) Harrington. Amos will be sadly missed by all his nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Marianhill 2ND Floor Staff for their care of Amos and support of his family.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday March 6th at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 11 Mohns Avenue, Petawawa. ( DUE TO COVID-19 PROTOCOLS MASKS/FACE COVERINGS MUST BE WORN IN THE CHURCH. SPACE IS LIMITED, PLEASE CALL THE FUNERAL HOME at 613-735-5711 to ATTEND THE MASS). Spring Interment St. Columba’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dementia Society of Ottawa, Renfrew County would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Murphy Funeral Home Pembroke.
