Obituary of Alice Rasmussen, Glace Bay
Alice Rasmussen, age 87 passed away peacefully on December 26th, 2021 at Taigh Na Mara, Glace Bay.
Born in Glace Bay, Alice was the daughter of the late Henry & Margaret (Winstanley) Bradbury.
At one time, Alice was employed at the fish plant and the G.I. Plant. She was a member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Glace Bay. Alice enjoyed reading, dancing, cooking, baking, playing darts and travelling with her husband, Walt. She will be remembered as a quiet, private lady who loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Lois Pace, Carole Ann (Randy) Brown, both of Glace Bay, one son, Michael (Marsha), Inverness, three sisters, Bing Curtis, Carol McLeod, both of Ontario, Lois Noiles, Springhill, one brother, Robert Bradbury, Glace Bay, seven grandchildren, Tanya Boutilier, Michael Pace, Adam, Mark, Scott Rasmussen, Lisa & Jessica Brown, six great grandchildren, Brianna, Alyssa, Andrew Boutilier, James, Raelyn Rasmussen and Noelle Miller.
Alice was predeceased by her husband, William Wallace “Walt” Rasmussen in 2012, one sister, Eileen Simmons and two brothers, Henry & Lawrence Bradbury.
Cremation has taken place. A private burial will be held in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
