Alice’s Obituary
COTTREAU, A. Alice – it is with heavy hearts and loving memories that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Alice Anne Cottreau (91 years young) on June 20th, 2021, at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. She was born on December 7th, 1929 in Wedgeport, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Hallet and Mary (LeBlanc) Trefry. Alice worked as a payroll clerk and worked in the office at Mt&T. Alice enjoyed line dancing at the Senior’s Kickin’ County. She is survived by children Lois Cottreau, Gerald (Jodie) Cottreau and Adrian (Paulette) Cottreau; grandchildren Keira, Cassandra, Jacob and Joel. Great grandchildren Zephenia and Owen; niece Donna Trefry. Aside from her parents she was predeceased by her husband Gerald George Cottreau. We would like to thank all the people that touched her life as well as all those she touched as well. Alice was the last living Aunt of the LeBlanc and Cottreau Clan (all cousins, relatives, and immediate friends she felt as family too many to mention). Special thank you to all the 4 North nurses, Dr. Gillis and the palliative team, Dr. Webster, the VON and her care takers. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes and Crematorium. A visitation will take place Monday June 28th, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m. with prayers at 7 p.m. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Wedgeport, 61 Ditcher St. A funeral service will take place Tuesday June 29th, 2021, from St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Father Albeni d’Entremont officiating. Interment to following the the parish cemetery. Donations in memory of Alice may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the St. Michael’s Cemetery.
