Obituary of Albert Bernard Dupe, New Waterford
It is with heartfelt sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Albert Dupe, 83, on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at New Waterford Hospital.
Born in New Waterford, he was a son of the late Jim and Nell (Power) Dupe.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley (DeGiobbi); daughter, Shirley (Mike) Power, Bedford; sons, Albert (Sharon), Derrick (Angela), Alex (Brenda), Rodney ‘Rusty’; brother, Dougie (Ruth); sister, Margaret ‘Margie’ (Anthony) DeGiobbi, all of New Waterford; grandchildren, Robert, Meghan, Ben, Spencer, Jorden, Paige, Madison, and Zachary; special nieces, Lois McNeil and Sharon Baldwin; several nieces and nephews and furdogs, Barney and Jake.
Besides his parents, Albert was predeceased by brothers, Josie (Lois), Ronnie, Mergie (Cookie); sisters, Vera (Greg) MacDougall and Anna.
Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, New Waterford. As per Albert’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in his memory may be made to the Cape Breton Shelter – Nova Scotia SPCA. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at:
