Mr. Willard Barnes
At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Sunday December 27th, 2020, Mr. Willard Barnes of Chatham passed away in his 79th year. Cherished son of the late Gordon and Doris Barnes. Beloved wife of Sandra. Loving father of Jason and his wife Nikki of Toronto, and loving grandfather of Natalie and Jessica. Dear brother of Betty Harmsworth and her husband Dennis, Darlene Clark and her husband Don, Jerry and his wife Barb Barnes, Doug and his wife Linda Barnes, Eugene and his wife Barb Barnes, and Lois Shaw and her husband Doug. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Willard spent his life farming, and operated Barnes Farm Equipment for over 42 years. Willard was an active member of Sprucedale United church, Past Master of Wellington-Victory #46, and was a member of Mocha Shrine. Willard always had a smile on his face and was a friend to all. He will be missed by his family, and many friends. A family service for Willard will be streamed live from the funeral home on Thursday December 31st, 2020 at 11 am with Rev. John Brown officiating. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all attendees as mandated by the Bereavement Authority of Ontario must wear a mask at the funeral. Arrangements entrusted to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710. Interment Mayhew Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville.
