Wilfred’s Obituary
CORPORON, Wilfred Richard – age 83, Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., passed away after a brief illness on Monday, August 24, 2020 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born September 26, 1936 in Wedgeport, he was a son of the late Willie and Frances (Robichaud) Corporon. Wilfred was a lobster buyer for R & K Murphy, having also worked for Chester LeBlanc and A. L. LeBlanc. He was a member and former fire chief with the Wedgeport and District Volunteer Fire Department, and in his spare time he still enjoyed building and fixing lobster cars and driving around. He is survived by his wife, Madeline (Boudreau) Corporon, as well as by his children, Nedra Corporon (Timmy), Eel Brook; Tommy Corporon (Tina) and Ricky Corporon, both of Wedgeport; Dwayne Corporon (Rose), Mavilette; Pauline Corporon (Gavin), Wedgeport, as well as by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Pauline (Cottreau) Corporon, as well as by siblings, Leona Deveau, Arthur Corporon and Bibienne Corporon. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A graveside service and interment will take place at 11:30 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2020 at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Wedgeport, Deacon Bruce Hubbard officiating, all are welcome to attend, bearing in mind provincial social distancing guidelines.
