February 20, 1971 – April 30, 2020
Verna sadly passed away on Thursday April 30 in her home with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents Ernie VanEvery and Carol Short and Cousin Micheal Crow. Verna is survived by her love of her life, partner and best friend James Rock. She will be sadly missed by her children Alexsis Van Every, Amanda Rock, Christie Rock and Ashley Rock. Verna will be fondly remembered by her siblings Anna (Gus) Mata, Colleen (Chad) Estergaard, Doris (Monteith) Lavoie, Jeremy (Melissa) VanEvery, William (Shaena) Lavoie, Nieces and Nephews Abby Mata, Avery Estergaard, Taya VanEvery, Sierra O’Connell, Justin, Kyle, Tabitha, Christa, Garett Lavoie, Chloe VanEvery, stepmother Dianne (Frank) Ireland, Aunt Shirley Antone and Cousins Tia, Jenny, Chris Crow, Tasha Bennett In her last few weeks Verna was being cared and loved for by Kian Gurchin. She will always be remembered by many family and friends.
Verna had a love of music and singing, which always brought family and friends together. She enjoyed mud truck driving and she lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed watching Betty Boop Cartoon Classics.
There will be a service held in memory of Verna at a later date.
Donations may be made in honour of Verna to the Canadian Cancer Society.
