DANIEL STEPHEN VERE passed away suddenly on July 7, 2020 at the age of 64 years.
Dan was born in Burnaby, B.C. on September 26, 1955 to Edward Gilbert Vere and Anna Bach Vere. He was the youngest of five children: Phillip Vere (Margot) and their children Karin, Stephen and Scott; Bert Vere and his children Eldon and Erin; Linda Bourelle (Wayne) and their children Tanna, Arron, Anna Victoria, Emily and Joshua and Karen Porter and her children Adam, Ethan, Jonathon and Brittany.
Dan was a kind and loving soul, loved by all who knew him. He made friends easily, loved them dearly and kept them for life. Dan had an intelligent and inquiring mind; he loved learning.
The great loves of his life were his lovely daughter Megan and his music. Dan began playing guitar around the age of three years old and mastered it quickly. He was an extraordinary and gifted musician. He played in many bands throughout his life.
Often in life, with extreme gifts comes great challenges. Dan bore his struggles with patience and humility.
Dan was predeceased by his parents, Ted and Annie, his brother Bert, sister Karen and niece Tanna. He is survived by his daughter Megan, his boys, Bradley Broderson and Jason Broderson, four step grandsons, Bryce, Cohen, Brayden and Bentley; His brother Phil, sister Lin and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins, all of whom he loved dearly.
A family graveside will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at 1 p.m. at the Magrath Cemetery.
We greatly regret that because of the Covid situation, we are limited to family at this time.
