Troy Dewayne Nickerson
Troy Dewayne Nickerson – 56, of Olds, Alberta,
formerly of South Alton, passed away on August 16, 2020 following a
battle with cancer. Born in Kentville, he was a son of Conrad and the
late Anna (Medicraft) Nickerson. Troy’s family moved to
Alberta when he was 20 years old. He worked on horse, dairy and beef
farms. Troy moved to Cape Sable Island in 2003, where he spent a lot
of time with Tommy, Tabb and dad. He worked at Wilsons and several
fish plants. Troy is survived by a daughter, Tara Alders; brothers,
Tommy, Tony, Tabb and Todd; grandson, Lucas; nephews, Marshall, Chris
and Ben; niece, Katelynn. He was predeceased by his mother, Anna and
brother, Terry. There will be no visitation, a private graveside
service will be held in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations
in memory may be made to your local foodbank. Funeral arrangements
have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation
Services, Kentville.
