Obituary of Terry Mears
Terrance Gordon Mears
1946-2020
It is with deep heartfelt sadness to share the passing of Terry. Much loved father of Lisa (Marc), the late Jeff and cherished Grandpa of Cassi. Devoted husband to the late Louise (nee Dunham). Loved son of the late Harold and Dolly Mears, and loved son-in-law of the late Norman and Mabel Dunham. Loved brother of Janice (Alex) Kucharew, Brian (Carol) Mears and the late Ron Mears. He is survived by his nephews and niece. Terry enjoyed nature, the Bruce Peninsula and sharing stories. Terry worked for Canada Post for 36 years and delivered mail in Brantford in the Mayfair area for 18 years. He was a people person and made many friends during his career. Terry was also a crossing guard for the City of Brantford after his retirement from Canada Post. Terry was an active member in the United Church, sang in choirs and made many friends within the congregations. He will be laid to rest beside Louise “Beyond the Sunset” in Mt. Hope cemetery. To honour his wishes a small private family graveside service to celebrate his life will take place. In Lieu of flowers donations to the Brant SPCA or Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre would be appreciated in memory of Terry. Arrangements entrusted to McCleister Funeral Home (519) 758-1553 Online condolences may be made at mccleisterfuneralhome.ca
