In Loving Memory of Guy Tanner Lemaigre
May 9, 1988 – October 17, 2020
Tanner entered this world early and left earlier than we could ever imagine. He knew he was born too soon and fought to stay. Tanners mom Lorna struggled to keep him alive, living in the north with a premature baby was not easy. Little did Lorna realize that her struggle to keep Tanner alive would lead to an incredible bond that time or distance could not break. Tanner and his mom spent hours on the phone and as his sisters describe, they had a sweet bond. Tanner was loved and will be forever missed.
Tanner was a kind soul, thoughtful and considerate of others. Tanners gift was his incredible heart, a heart that reached out to others, to lighten the load, shoulder their burden and give the fullness of his heart. Throughout his short time here, Tanner knew all too well the pain of loss and sorrow. And shared those precious moments with numerous friends and extended family.
Through it all he found happiness in the laughter of his children. We had the privilege of watching Tanner cherish and nourish the bonds he had with his children. Tannis and her dad shared special moments, both were old souls and connected on a level few could understand. It was incredible to watch. Alice and her dad shared games like ball toss and Tanner beamed with pride over her ability. Jersie’s mischievous sparkle brought joy and laughter while keeping us on our toes. We were in awe of Tanners ability to wrap Caydence in unconditional love and protection. Know that we will continue to inspire and watch over your precious little ones. They will be a beacon of light, shining upward for you to see.
Tanner had a special bond with his grandparents, having spent time with them in his teenage years. Losing both his dad and his grandfather a few short years apart had a significant impact on Tanner. We are forever grateful for the bonds of family, both here and in heaven.
Tanner was both older and younger brother to his siblings and together they formed a bond of family for their mom. Family has and always will be the strength of our character. Tanner was courageous and fought to survive, but sadly, we are only on loan from God, and we know that Tanner is in heaven surrounded by love. How we will miss his laughter and his joy.
Tanner shared with his aunties how much he was going to miss being here and would want everyone to know that this life is precious and how important it is to look after the ones you love.
The Lemaigre family would like to thank Tanners immediate and extended family for all that you do and for continuing to support Tanners family through this most difficult time.
The Lemaigre family also asks for privacy at this time as we are limited in what can be done to celebrate Tanners life.
