Spence; Glen Herbert 2020

Spence – Glen Herbert, 80, of Mersey Point, Queens County, passed away on Monday, August 31st, 2020 at home.
Born in Springhill, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Elmer and Dorothy (Haggerty) Spence.
Glen was a jack of all trades and a master of many. There wasn’t too much that he couldn’t build or fix. He worked all over North America as a pipefitter and boilermaker, having been a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Lodge #73 and the United Association of Pipefitters. He also had his pilots license and was a certified diver. He was happiest when spending time at his camp in the woods, hunting, fishing and canoeing around the lake with Millie.
He is survived by his loving wife, Millie; daughters, Tammy (Joe) Colburne, of Fordland, Missouri, U.S.A., Debbie, of Alberta; son, Kevin (Nancy), of Little River, New Brunswick; stepdaughter, Dawn Hanley, of Mersey Point; stepsons, Eddie Greek, of Dartmouth, Vance (Amanda) Greek, of Danesville; stepson-in-law, Maurice Wagner; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and his loving buddy, Boots.
He was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Pamela Wagner; great-grandson, Andrew Jordan and step son in law, Bernard Hanley.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. At Glen’s request, there will be no funeral service. No flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to I.W.K. Children’s Hospital. To share memories or condolences, please visit www.chandlersfuneral.com
