Obituary of Simon Leclair
Simon Joseph Albert Leclair, 78 ans d’Orléans, Ontario, est décédé paisiblement avec sa fille bien-aimée Sophie à ses côtés le 14 janvier 2020 à Elizabeth Bruyère.
Simon est né à Alfred, Ontario le 7 décembre 1941. Il était copropriétaire de plusieurs commerces avec son partenaire Gerald Lafrance depuis 40 ans, donc les plus récents Low Boy Furniture à Orléans et Globe Mags and Cigars au Byward Market.
Il laisse dans le deuil sa fille unique, Sophie (Mark), ses 3 petits-enfants Simon (Sarah), Brandon et Marissa, ses frères et sœurs Florimond (Rita), Achille (Monique), Marie Anna fdls, Alice (Laurent), Odette fdls, Estelle (feu Leo), Denis (feu Lise) et (Lise), Marielle (Gérald) ainsi que son amie de cœur Odette Benoît et 35 neveux et nièces.
Précédé par ses parents Seraphin et Corinne, son frère Jean-Guy (feu Agathe) et son épouse Noëlla Leclair née Portelance.
Les funérailles auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Héritage à Orléans le vendredi 24 janvier à 16 h avec le Père Jean-Pierre Fredette et avec une réception qui suivra. Les visites précéderont de 14 h à 16 h.
Simon Joseph Albert Leclair, 78 of Orleans, Ontario, passed away peacefully with his beloved daughter Sophie by his side on January 14th at Elizabeth Bruyère.
Simon was born in Alfred, Ontario to Séraphin and Corinne on December 7th, 1941. He Co-owned several businesses with his partner Gerald Lafrance of 40 years including Low Boy Furniture in Orleans and Globe Mags and Cigars in the Byward Market.
He is survived by his only daughter Sophie (Mark), his 3 grandchildren Simon (Sarah), Brandon and Marissa, his brothers and his sisters Florimond (Rita), Achille (Monique), Marie Anna f.d.l.s., Alice (Laurent), Odette f.d.l.s., Estelle (feu Leo), Denis (feu Lise) Lise, Marielle (Gérald) as well as his dear friend Odette Benoît and 35 nephews and nieces.
He is predeceased by his parents Seraphin and Corinne, his brother Jean-Guy (feu Agathe) and his beloved wife Noëlla Lecalir née Portelance.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Heritage Funeral Complex Chapel in Orleans, Ontario on Friday January 24th at 4pm with Father Jean-Pierre Fredette officiating with a reception to follow. Visitations will precede from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
