Obituary of Sharon Anne Metcalfe
Metcalfe: Sharon Anne (nee McKeen) –
Sharon Anne Metcalfe, born July 24, 1948, passed away peacefully at Windsor Regional Hospital, Ouellette Campus, on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 with her family by her side – six years to the day of her husband Dave’s passing. Sharon is reunited with the love of her life and her heart is home.
Dear Mother of Peter (Cheryl) and Matthew (Alison). Loving Grandmother to Alex, Mackenzy, Andrew, Nick, Colin, Abby and Courtney. Sharon also truly enjoyed her two Grand Dogs, Kady and Ozzie.
Born in Chatham, Ontario to the late and very lovely Blake and Mildred McKeen; Sharon and her sister Linda Birkby, were raised in Staples, Ontario and attended Leamington High school.
Sharon and Dave operated D&M Harley Davidson in Chatham for over 30 years, enjoying many friendships with customers, franchise owners and vendors alike. Together their partnership and hard work brought the joy of owning and riding a motorcycle to many.
After retiring in 2005, Sharon and Dave realized their dream of owning a cottage on Little Tomiko Lake, an area Sharon grew up visiting with her family. Tomiko was the perfect place for her to enjoy a book, connect with nature, and lovingly remind everyone to shut the darn door to keep mosquitoes and black flies out.
The family has chosen to hold a Private Service at this time, in light of current circumstances. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, it was Sharon’s wish that donations be made to The Salvation Army or a charity of your choice.
