Schmold Maria Mary January 22 1939

MARIA “MARY” SCHMOLD, of Coaldale, beloved wife of the late Benjamin Schmold, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital with her family by her side, on Monday, November 30, 2020 at the age of 81 years.

For those wishing to pay their respects, a Viewing will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance will be limited to 10 guests at one time. Facemasks are mandatory and will be available upon entry.

Mary was born in Friedensdorf, Ukraine, on January 22, 1939. Mary is survived by her son Chris (Susan) and their children Melissa and Cameron; as well as five stepsons: Sig (Linda) of Calling Lake, AB, Ben (Linda) of Coaldale, AB, Richard (Lydia) of Mission, BC, Manfred (Brenda) of High River, AB, and Andy (Theresa) of Lethbridge. She is also survived by her sister, Anna Ruediger of Ontario, and brothers-in-law Wilhelm Schmold of Coaldale, AB, and Fred Schmold of Lac La Hache, BC, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren nieces and nephews.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Anna Rempel, sister, Karen Martens and brothers-in-law Bill Martens and George Ruediger.

The Schmold family really appreciates the care, compassion and consideration of the nursing staff on 4A at the CRH during this trying time.

A private Interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers and in memory of Mary, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
