Rupert B. Green
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Rupert, on Thursday January 16th, 2020 at the Brockville General Hospital. Rupert Green age 97 years, formerly of Oak Leaf. Beloved husband of the late Beverley Green (nee Smith). Dear father of Kim Sytsma (Charlie) of Athens, Lisa Routhier of Brockville and Kelly Green-Frew (Doug) of Athens. Loving grandfather of William Sytsma (Nicole), Sean Sytsma (Stephanie), Victoria Sytsma (Julien), Virginia Sytsma (Dan), Jason Routhier and Victor Routhier (Jenna). Great-grandfather of Luke and Talia Systma and Marlee Routhier. Also survived by a close friend John Bohusz, one sister-in-law, Honey Hartley, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, William Green and the former Florence Heffernan and by two brothers, Elmore Green and his wife Betty, and Thomas Green and his wife Verla.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the Judson Funeral Home, Athens, on Friday January 24th, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Rupert’s Life will be held at Holy Trinity Church, Oak Leaf, on Saturday January 25th at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery. In memory of Rupert, donations can be made to Holy Trinity Cemetery, Holy Trinity Church or Sherwood Park Manor.
