Martinez, Ruben Cano
August 9, 1958 – July 19, 2020
It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Ruben Cano Martinez announce his peaceful passing on Sunday, July 19, 2020, at the age of 61 years, after a courageous battle against cancer.
Ruben will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Delia Cano; his children, Alexander, Veronica (Mike), and Glissel (Tim); his six grandchildren, Erick, Amario, Tynnel, Nickolas, Maya, and Sofia; his brothers, Andres Cano and David Cano; his sisters, Teresa Cano and Ana Cano; his mother-in-law, Maria Santana Pereza; his sister-in-laws, Vilma Menjivar, Yesenia Pereza, Sonia Estrada and Judy Gosselin; his brother-in-laws, Aristides Pereza, Freddy Menjivar and Antonio Estrada.
Ruben was predeceased by his beloved mother, Mercedez Martinez and his brother Tito Cano.
A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 7:00 p.m., at 200 Woodgate Road, Okotoks, Alberta.
A burial ceremony will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 1:00 p.m., at the Okotoks cemetery, 30 Westland Street, Okotoks, AB.
Memorial Donations in Ruben’s name may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
