Obituary of Ross McBeath
McBEATH: Ross Eldon
February 3, 1944 – December 5, 2020
Peacefully, after a short battle with cancer, Ross passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the age of 76.
Ross was a proud farmer his entire life and an active member of the community. He was a member of the Huron Soil and Crop Association, he served on the board of directors of the Hensall District Co-op and the Tuckersmith Communications Co-operative. He also spent many years as an active member of the Brucefield United Church, having served as Clerk of Session.
Ross was the loving husband of Donna (Hayter) McBeath for 56 years. Loving father of Julie Falconer and Daniel Rombough, Gerry McBeath, Janet and Brad Westerhout, John and Jeanette McBeath and Jason and Cassidy McBeath. Grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Brother to Doug and Joyce McBeath. Brother-in-law to Allan and Marjorie Hayter, Gerald and Marg Hayter, Bob Hayter and his partner Lyn Mount and the late Sandy Hayter, Anne and Gord Lavis. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Alex and Evelyn McBeath and his son-in-law Brian Falconer.
Due to COVID-19, there will be not be a public visitation and the family is planning an private family service at Brucefield Community United Church on Friday, December 11, 2020. Interment, Baird’s Cemetery, Stanley Township.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Jessica’s House Hospice in Exeter, Brucefield Community United Church or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
