Robert Erskine Strachan Friday January 31st 2020

Retired after 37 years from the Canadian Forces having originally joined the Ordinance Corps and later becoming a Supply Technician. He passed unexpectedly at the Ottawa Heart Institute, with his loving family at his side, on Friday January 31, 2020 at the age of 88 years. Bob Strachan of Petawawa, beloved husband of Lorraine Strachan (nee Garness). Loved and cherished father of Robert Strachan (Kerrie), St. Isadore ON, Stephen Strachan (Danielle Blacquiere) Oromocto NB, Bonnie Strachan-Oman (Leo Oman), Sudbury and Heather Strachan (Steve MacMullin) Petawawa. Loving grandfather to Rob (Jess), Kirk (Ashley), Brian (Chrissy), Stephen, Jennifer (Nelson), Adam (Jenn) and Kristie and great grandchildren Robbie, Lily, Kenzie, Rylee, Lars, Harrison, Lucas, Jessie and Arianna. Predeceased by his sister Jessie Clephan (late Roy) and brother John Strachan (late Dolores). Son of the late John and Margaret (nee Todd) Strachan. Brother-in-law of Barb Garness. A Celebration of Life for Bob will be held on Saturday February 8th at 11 a.m. at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke, followed by a luncheon.
