Obituary of Robert “Bob” C. Martin
Bob passed away peacefully on Friday, December 18, 2020 at the age of 82 years.
Beloved husband of the late Marg Martin and father of the late Don Martin. Bob is survived by his daughters Jennifer Martin, Deborah (Stuart) Thomson, and Marianne (Iain) Day, seven grandchildren and three great-grandsons, his sister Donelda (Bart) and brother Larry (Laureen). Predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law Richard (Anita).
Bob and Marg moved to Waterloo in 1968. He worked for various steel companies throughout the Region of Waterloo. In the early 90’s, he founded and managed Grandpa Bob’s Maple Products in McDonald’s Corners and Quadville. Bob was a loyal member of Alcoholics Anonymous in his 40th year of sobriety.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private graveside service will take place at Memory Gardens, Breslau. Cremation will have taken place and a celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
