Robert Bob John Fladd Tuesday December 15th 2020

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Robert John Fladd on December 15th 2020. He will be missed daily by his children Ken (Dawn) Fladd, Elaine (Rob) Lee, and Chris Fladd as well as his 6 grandchildren, Nadine Fladd, Matthew Fladd and Adam (Kristen) Fladd, Shane Lee, Brooke Lee-Junkin (Zach) and Erinn Lee, and great grandson Joseph Fladd.
Robert was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Margaret Fladd, one year ago.
Dad loved Elora, living here his entire life. He spent the last 6 years travelling the streets and surrounding area on his scooter every afternoon. As a life-long resident, Dad had a strong sense of community. He was an active member of Knox Presbyterian Church and previous co-owner of Elora Pro Hardware with his brother-in-law Ken Pritchard. As kids, it seemed everyone in town knew him. He had a lifelong passion for hockey as a player in his youth and a spectator until the end. In retirement he enjoyed golfing, lawn and carpet bowling, and woodworking. We are fortunate to have many cherished keepsakes he created.
He knew how to live well and enjoy life. His morning coffee with friends was sacred. Whenever you came to visit he made you feel he was thrilled to see you. He loved mild mischief and always had a conspiratorial twinkle in his eye when caught doing something mom would not approve of, like sneaking treats despite his diabetes.
Due to Covid-19 limitations we will wait to have a memorial service at a later time. Donations to Knox Presbyterian Church in Elora would be appreciated in his honor. www.grahamgiddyfh.com
