It is with great sadness that we grieve the passing of our loving mother Rita Olivine (Bellemore), Damphousse, Paré on July 14, 2020. Rita will be missed by brothers Louis (Bridgette) Bellemore, Rene (Mille) Bellemore, and Eugene Bellemore. Sisters Leah (Don) Renaud, Annette (Marcel) Marchand, and Aline (Vince) Lanoue. Predeceased by Angel Dupuis, Cecile (Michael) Lenuik, Mary Jane (Forest) Hamlin. Surviving sister-in-law of Rose Marie (Charles) Renaud. Predeceased by Alphonse (Lucille) Pare, Gladys (Hector) Deschamps, Janette (Frank) Teron, Andrew (Laura) Paré, Harvey (Bella) Paré and Bill Paré. Also predeceased by sister-in-law Anna (Adlord) Chaput, Teresa (Joe) Laliberte and brother-in-law Pete (Hazel) Damphouse. Our memories of Mom are irreplaceable. She was a bright light, funny, clever and sharp and could always be counted on for a good clean joke and brought joy to those around her, singing old familiar songs and sharing stories. She was strong in her faith, and her message was to never give up hope. We will remember Mom’s passion of gardening and her green thumb. Her love of white roses, her excitement of the earliest flowers blooming, the fragrance of her Lilac tree or her picking the biggest tomato or pepper from her garden will never be forgotten. God has called one of his best back home. Rest in the arms of Jesus Mom, Dad is waiting to bring you dancing in the most beautiful garden. Rita was a member of the Lighthouse prayer group held at the Pines. She had an area of garden located at St. Patrick’s church along the Rosary Trial that she tended to. She was a volunteer at St. Francis School where she taught Catechism. She also volunteered at the Tilbury Manor for many years. The family would like to express sincere gratitude and appreciation for the exceptional care Mom received by the staff at Tilbury Manor with special thanks to Tina Durocher. Due to COVID-19 a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers donations can be made online to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Geriatric Mental Health Outreach Team at ckhaf.ca/donate.
