WILSON, Richard Henry Charles (1937-2020) – passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Monday, November 2nd, 2020 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of late Arah (nee Cochrane) Wilson (2015). Loving father of Mark Wilson (Annemarie) of Delhi, Kim Smith of Brantford and Kathy Socholotiuk (Nick) of Brantford. Cherished grandfather & great grandfather of André Wilson (Zoe Stirton); Katherine Wilson; Ryan Szucs (Kim Olson), children Charlie & Cooper; Justin Szucs, son Brody; Alicia Szucs (Aaron Penner), daughter Natalie; Aimee Darcy (Shaun), son Mason; Matthew Socholotiuk; and Jordan Socholotiuk (Rebecca Ross). Richard will be sadly missed by his siblings Rosemary Swaenepoel (Noel) of Simcoe, Ross Wilson (Missy Binder) and Allen Wilson (Eva), both of Delhi. Predeceased by his brother Eddie Wilson. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews & extended family. Friends are invited to share their memories of Richard with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. N. Simcoe for visitation on Thursday, November 5th, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. In following the Covid19 government guidelines for funerals, anyone wishing to attend visitation must pre-register by calling the funeral home (519) 426-0199 between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. to book a time or by email to jason@smithfuneralchapel.com Time slots will be booked in 15-minute increments. Facial coverings are mandatory. A private funeral service (by invitation only) will be held with Pastor Dan De Backere officiating. Interment: Walsh United Cemetery.
