Raymond Albert Joseph Vermette of Drumheller beloved husband of Jolayne Alice Vermette passed away peacefully on November 18, 2020 at the age of 76 years.
Raymond was born April 17, 1944 and passed away peacefully on November 18, 2020 and is now finally with his Queen Jolayne.
Raymond proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces where he met his Queen Jolayne Vermette. Ray and Jolayne loved touring around in their motorhome. He was an avid hockey fan, he coached both of his sons during their minor hockey days, he tuned in to every hockey season, he loved the Drumheller Dragons, he was an active man enjoying long walks around town. Ray loved to sit and enjoy a nice Rum and Coke at the end of the day. He was an extremely hardworking man, he was a very committed and passionate Husband and Father. He will be sadly missed by his loving family.
Ray was predeceased by his parents Alexander and Alice Vermette of Ponteix, Saskatchewan and his beloved Queen Jolayne, brothers Mike Vermette, Marcel Vermette
Ray leaves to cherish his memory, two sons Rodney Vermette and Shane Vermette, one granddaughter Danielle, one sister Madeline, numerous other family members and a lifetime of friends.
A small service will be held at a later date and time, circumstances not withstanding. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
